Recognize: Today Story of Gowri Panchangam Shattil Ekadashi 2024
A wealthy woman previously lived and gave away a significant amount of her fortune to charity. She granted everyone’s wishes about money, clothing, and valuables, with the exception of hunger. Since she didn’t donate food, which is supposed to be the most meritorious act, Lord Krishna felt he should make her aware of this. He then pretended to be a beggar and requested food from the woman. Reluctant to offer him food, the woman requested him to leave.
The beggar persisted in staying there and pleading for food. She insulted him by dropping a clay ball in his bowl out of frustration. After thanking her, the beggar left. The woman was horrified to see that everything she had prepared had turned to clay when she returned home. Additionally, everything she bought to prepare food turned to clay, making it impossible for her to eat anything at this point. She was so hungry that her health began to decline.
